Ever since she was a child, Dana Salvador knew she wanted to work with makeup. (FYI: She is relatedtoMarilyn Monroe, I know I see the Family resemblance _the Soul Genectics, don’t You?) “My mother was a model and I used to sit backstage and watch the transformation with the makeup; it was magic to me and I knew that I wanted to be involved with makeup.”
Dana Salvador says she has put makeup on more than 7,000 brides in the years she has worked in the field. Today she offers a variety of therapies that range from light therapy, a new infrared body wrap and organic facials.
Her business, Dana’s Cos-Medic Institute, offers makeup and more, as her interests and talents have evolved over the years.
While the seeds of Salvador’s desire to help people achieve healthy and beautiful skin may have been planted while watching the transformation of a mother into a model, they were nurtured by her own bout with acne. She understood personally the dream of a good complexion and became determined to learn how to get one and to share that knowledge with others. For her, it was a natural career choice.
Following her muse, Salvador studied cosmetology after high school. The course of study offered hair and makeup, and landed her a job with Christian Dior as a makeup artist, working at Bloomingdales in Manhattan and Short Hills.
When a co-worker introduced her to essential oils, Salvador had what some might call an “aha moment.” She went to a health food store, learned about essential oils, found the ones right for her skin and “got immediate results,” she said.
She then chose to go beyond commercial and chemical products in her work.
Soon she was incorporating essential oils into the facial treatments she was giving to customers at her new position with Adrien Arpel.
Salvador evolved her facial techniques, using the infrared light therapy she had by then learned, in conjunction with essential oils, and she trademarked the name: facial rejuvenation therapy “because it takes the facial to the next level,” she says.
That may be the case, but the technique is not new, she points out. It was developed by NASA originally as a means to help astronauts heal small cuts, scrapes and bruises in space, she says, and has been in use for some 40 years. The light “helps regenerate cell tissue.”
Today the technique is “a little more mainstream,” Salvador says. The therapy is widely accepted. The technique “uses light frequency on the face,” in a manner similar to accupressure, stimulating “nerve impulses to the other organs ant that’s what makes it a therapy,” she says. She describes it as similar to reflexology, a therapy many know that is used on the feet to provide well-being in other parts of the body.

I am Tara and I have a deep interest in the many aspects of the Vedic tradition. This interest currently express itself through painting and teaching.
Yes I have many exams and achievments on my Curriculum Vitae (biography) and blogs on other websites, however I chose to speak of Art, Life and Spirituality through eyes tinted of Vedic Art and the esoteric teachings from the South Indian Tamil Siddha Tradition.
I assume you agree that we live in very exciting times, with the co-existence of the ”old” and the ”new”. Our behaviors and thoughts has grown old and will unenviable be challenged during this transit towards the Golden Age.
And even if you have never heard of Vedic Art or the Tamil Siddhas before I am inviting you on this journey of Art and Life. A journey governed by a few, very profound, principles that is my guidance as we move deeper into the New Age, the Golden Age.

Yes, I know… Amazing stuff, isn’t it?
In the early 2000 I came into contact with Vedic Art. Color, form and esthetics whas woven into my life and it seemed to grow in importance. The vedic knowledge transmitted through this art form hit a deep, deep cord in my heart. This, in its turn, initiated a row of personal insights which was why I also became a Vedic Art Teacher in order to forward this profound teaching to others as well.
Through the shift in consciousness that followed I also started to study Jyotish, or vedic astrology, at The American College of Vedic Astrology (ACVA). It was through these studies that I in 2004 came into contact with the Tamil Siddha Master and Dr. Baskaran Pillai.
During a personal visit in Stockholm 2005 His Holyness Himself, Dr. Pillai, conveyed the content from a Siva Jeeva Nadi Reading for me. During the reading it was revealed  that I was to forward this teaching to others. In a way, this information was most controversial in terms of the medium it was provided, but at the same time I knew these words to be totally authentic. They just confirmed my hearts yearning  that had been there for ages.
As I was able to deepening my own understanding of this profound teaching I begun to see my earlier unanswered questions about life in a different light. An underlying divine order started to emerge that by far surpassed the human logic. An understanding for the human condition started to form, along with the insight about what we can to override our suffering and begin to live life more fully.
The teaching I provide is to a great extent unknown to the general public. This esoteric knowledge is of the highest order and yet so very down to Earth in its practical aspect. Indeed a faschinating combination, and extremely powerful as such.
This knowledge revolves around realizing God WITHIN ourselves – that all we ever need to know is already within us, we just need to re-discover it again. When this knowingness again rises to the surface it will indeed create a bridge and connecting link to reunite previous separated units in our life and allow more joy, ease and light into our everyday life.

Many people asks where Vedic Art comes from and one answer could sound like this:
Vedic Art is founded on ancient Vedic knowledge from its time of glory many thousands years ago. The legacy from this time has remained in artifacts such as old scriptures and also knowledge within a wide range of areas in society, such as art, health, ethics, philosophy, politics and cooking. In other words, there are many branches on the symbolic tree that this tradition represents.
One well known example is the branch of Ayur Veda that is dedicated to health and wellbeing of the person. A less known example is the Stapathya Veda revolving around the architectural environment affecting our daily living or Vastu Veda that brings the knowledge of how different directions affects our milieu.
If we consider our lives from what is happening actually do co-inside with what we do… then it becomes obvious that the actual creating affects our whole existence. We can see that our lives affects also when we paint a painting or create a sculpture out of clay. The creative process then becomes the glue that keeps our lives together.
With the assistance of the 17 Vedic Art principles for Life and Art we can gain an increased awareness on how to create the paintings we work with, or the project we are involved with at our jobs.
